Ninet Tayeb
Ninet Tayeb Hebrew: (נינט טייב), born October 21, 1983, in Kiryat Gat, Israel) is an Israeli musician, singer-songwriter, composer, DJ, and actress who came to fame as the first winner of Kochav Nolad (the Israeli version of Pop Idol). Additionally, Ninet acted for three seasons in the Israeli television drama "HaShir Shelanu" (Our Song). She is of Moroccan Jewish and Tunisian Jewish descent. From humble beginnings, Ninet has achieved recognition as one of the most popular and famous celebrities and entertainers in Israel.
She has also worked with Steven Wilson (Ninet performs on his solo albums, Hand. Cannot. Erase. and 4 ½). He described Ninet as "inspiring, a fantastic singer" which has an "amazing voice" and is "very easy to work with". Ninet also performed alongside Wilson in the Royal Albert Hall in September 2015.
